As a frequent customer of Best Buy, I often find myself wondering whether or not they take American Express. So, I decided to write this blog post to answer that question for other customers who might be asking the same thing.
Does Best Buy Take American Express? Yes, Best Buy takes American Express. Best Buy accept American Express cards both in store and online. They have been doing so since 2007 when they partnered with American Express to offer their cardholders exclusive savings at Best Buy stores nationwide.
Best Buy will accept all credit cards at checkout including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. It’s important to note that while some stores may not be equipped to process transactions with your Amex card, other locations may be able to do so.
If you’re unsure about whether or not your local store can process an American Express transaction please call ahead before making any purchases.
American Express is a great card to have if you want high reward points and cash back. You can also use it at many different retailers, not just Best Buy!
The only downside of this type of credit card is that the interest rates are higher than other cards. If you pay your balance in full every month, though, there’s nothing stopping you from using an Amex-friendly retailer like Best Buy for all your shopping needs.
